Hi, I'm Charlie Clarke. Welcome to my Website

If you love Feel Good Comedy, you’re in the right place. If you’re a fan of the

swinging 60s you’re in the right place.

I hope you have Fun checking out the website pages. Here’s a bit of background information about me…

As a child I lived in the village of Chawton and on my amble to school passed Chawton Cottage where in 1815, Jane Austen began her last novel, ‘Persuasion’. Perhaps that’s what first inspired me to write.

I love living in England. It’s a beautiful country, steeped in history with amazing architecture and stunning countryside. These days I live the idyll rural life surrounded by lots of fabulous family and friends – and I feel truly blessed.

I started working life as a window dresser before changing direction to become a typesetter in magazine advertising. Then it was onto editing, copywriting and ghost-writing for a publisher in Reading. I also trained in singing with a West End performer and went on to be a singing coach.

I began freelance ghost-writing work and have now moved into writing fiction.

I am a Pro Member of the BCG – British Comedy Guide

and a member of The White Horse Writers’ Group

Attending numerous writing courses from Creative writing to TV scriptwriting has been great training, along with carrying out a sprinkling of acting in a professional production and being a voracious reader of How to Write books from the bad to the great.
